Privacy Policy

Afterwork Plan is run by Afterwork Plan LLC, an Ohio limited liability company ("we," "us"). This page explains what we collect when you use afterworkplan.com, what we do with it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect as little as we can, we never sell it, and you can delete everything with one button.

If you don't create an account

You can get your answer without signing in. Your answers are saved only in your own browser (in its local storage) so they're still there when you come back. The calculations run on your device, so your numbers are never sent to us. Clearing your browser data erases them.

What we collect if you create an account

• Your email address. We use it to send your sign-in codes, receipts and messages about your subscription.
• The answers you save. Your ages, savings, spending, income and the other numbers you enter, so they're there when you sign in on another device.
• A referral tag. If you arrived through a creator's link, we store that creator's short name with your account so they can be paid their commission.
• Payment records, if you buy Pro. Stripe handles your card. We receive a customer reference, your subscription status and renewal date, never your full card number.

We never ask for your Social Security number, your account numbers or your logins to any bank or brokerage.

What we use it for

To run your account, save your plans, process your subscription, send the emails the service needs (sign-in codes, receipts, renewal reminders), pay referring creators, keep the service secure, and follow the law. We don't sell your information, we don't share it for advertising, and we don't use your answers to market any investment, insurance product or other business to you.

Who helps us run the service

These companies process information for us, only to provide their part of the service:

• Cloudflare hosts the site, stores saved accounts and plans, and runs the security check on the sign-in form (Turnstile).
• Resend delivers our emails.
• Stripe processes payments.
• Google Analytics counts visits and which pages are used. It sets its own cookies. We don't send it your answers or your email address.

Creators who refer you learn that a subscription came through their link and how much it paid. They never see your email address or your answers.

We may disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or to a buyer if the business is ever sold, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.

Cookies

When you sign in we set one cookie that keeps you signed in for 30 days. It's required for your account to work. Google Analytics sets its own cookies to count visits; you can block them in your browser settings and the site will still work.

How long we keep it

• Sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes.
• Your account and saved plans stay until you delete them.
• Payment and tax records are kept as long as the law requires, even after you delete your account.

Deleting your account

Sign in, open Account, and choose Delete my account. That permanently removes your email address, your saved plans and your sign-in sessions right away. Deleting your account also cancels any Pro subscription right away, so you won't be charged again.

How we protect it

Everything travels over encrypted connections. Sign-in codes and session keys are stored only in scrambled (hashed) form, so they can't be read back even from our own database. Access to our systems is limited to the people who run the service. No system is perfectly secure, and if a breach ever affects your information we'll tell you as the law requires.

Your rights

You can see, correct or delete your information at any time from your account, or by emailing us. Depending on where you live (for example, California), you may have additional rights to know what we hold, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We don't sell or share personal information as those laws define it. We won't treat you differently for using any of these rights.

Children

Afterwork Plan is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top, and we'll email account holders before any change that affects how we use information they've already given us.
